Yes...I watched it with another JW friend & we pretty much both agreed...if I'm a Witness and manning a JW cart & someone approaches asking about the Oxygen showing & the problem of predator molesters in the congregations...I as the JW at the cart am going to be looking for the nearest rock to crawl under. Yah...all this well deserved bad publicity is going to put many JW publishers in a very difficult predicament!

3/2020 WT Baptism Rigmarole
by neat blue dog inremember those pesky scriptures about 'put faith in jesus and you will be saved' & 'getting baptized without delay'?
well, in this time of the end ™ we know better, and the latest march 2020 study edition wt sums it all up:.
before you can get baptized, there are a few other things you need to do.

Sir82's post is soo damn funny and original...I just had to copy & paste it:
"How it will appear in the 2021 Re-revised NWT:
36 Now as they were going along the road, they came to a body of water, and the eunuch said: “Look! Here is water; what prevents me from getting baptized?” 37* [and Philip said unto him: "let the coordinator of the body of elders know that you want to get baptized. He will ask some elders to meet with you. They will review with you the basic Bible teachings that you have learned. They want to make sure that you understand those teachings and that you are aware of the importance of dedication and baptism. If they agree that you are ready, they will inform you that you can get baptized at the next assembly or convention"]. 38 With that he commanded the chariot to halt, and both Philip and the eunuch went down [to the local Kingdom Hall to begin the months-long process to see if the eunuch really qualified]."

Amber Scorah on cults
by dozy inamber gives a superb talk here.
i couldn't help but contrast her delivery - fluent , articulate , without any notes - not even a rostrum or podium to hide behind - with the numerous talks and items i heard when i was a jw.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7wfpaqcqcw.
i am reading her book " leaving the witness " just now - it is superb - i just can't put it down.

I would love to be able to put a dollar value on the amount of damage the Amber Scorah's...the Barbara Andersen's...the John Cedars' and countless others are inflicting on and adversely affecting WT's revenue intake. It has got to be in the millions of pesos ($$$). We already know that this growing anti JW movement has put a big dent in the baptismal rate...many Circuit Assemblies, for example, are having zero baptisms...I wonder how this translates into dollars. It's got to be huge...Yay!

After the death of a spouse, how long did people wait to get remarried?
by RubaDub ini was on the phone with a long-time friend from my original congregation north of new york city and she told me that the 'shit hit the fan' when a brother (long-time elder i know well) got remarried about 6 weeks after his wife died.. he was about 60 and his new wife (a pioneer that i also know) was about 50 and had never been married.. it became a huge issue when the co came.
due to all the talk and chatter in the congregation, he even included in one of his talks without naming names, that marriage is something sacred and that when and how people get married is a personal matter as long as it conforms to bible standards.. anyway, it shut everybody up.
any similar experiences in your current/former congregations?.

Right-on Athanasius...Yes good ole Geoffrey Jackson. How many times have we heard the WT encourage rank & file to take advantage of being single. Not only does Jackson not practice what he preaches but he marries a young chick old enough to be his daughter...and leaves a trail of others wondering/saying...what the hell!

I remember this horny Dude a few years back...he happens to be one of 8 leaders of a cult based out of New York. I think he's called a Governing Body member. He claims to have a real tight relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Anyway...this Dude's wife dies of cancer in her early 50s...around 2012. Not long after his wife's death this cult leader finds it difficult to keep his 'little friend' in his pants...soon he finds a young chick (cult member) in her late twenties...about 30 years younger than himself and marries her. He finds a new, healthier and younger love tunnel for his 'little friend'!
Can someone help me with this Dude's name?

This asinine statement in the 'Notification Of Disfellowshipping Or Disassociation' form caught my attention:
"Disassociation: Specify by what actions(s) the individual disassociated himself, such as by resignation, nonneutral activity, failure to abstain from blood, or joining another religion."This asinine Cult has an asinine obsession with blood!
Thank you Petra for the links...especially liked the link to your 'Crowning Glory'! :)
